Why is it important to detect AI-crafted content?
Well, despite the fact that it is simply a valuable skill in the digital age, there are other more important factors such as:
- Maintaining trustworthiness of consumed information
- Accuracy & reliability
- Prevention of misinformation spreading
While AI can produce coherent and clear text, it may sometimes include false or inaccurate information (because LLMs tend to hallucinate a lot, especially on complex topics).
LLMs can generate information that appears factual but is ungrounded aka. without any trustworthy sources.
