Can you distinguish content written by a human from that of an AI?

Before we dive in, I am not saying that using AI-generated content is always a bad thing.

On contrary, some AI articles I’ve read were 20000x better than of some low-quality writers who just bump a 5 minute long read with:

  • close to zero punctuation
  • hundreds of typos
  • very poor storytelling skills
  • close to zero structure (aka. copy-paste from brain without even considering bringing a proper structure)

Both highly-technical and highly-personal ones.

However, we’re entering the era where:

“If you can’t distinguish whether the being on the other side of a conversation is a human or a machine, does it matter who or what it is?”

— Ian Pearson
