We’re seeing it more and more each day, that the automotive industry is looking for ways to utilize blockchain technology. We’ve seen a number of projects pop up over the last couple of years, and we’ve seen blockchain or cryptocurrency announcements from some of the largest automotive companies in the world, such as Porsche, General Motors, Renault, Ford, BMW, Daimler, and Toyota to name some. We believe this is one of the reasons for the momentum building behind the Automotive eXchange Platform (AXP), which is our blockchain-based project for the automotive industry.

While perhaps fitting that so many companies would be independently looking at blockchain technology — a decentralized system — it’s also fitting that they would band together, and this is what we’re seeing in MOBI (Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative). General Motors, Renault, Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen, and IBM are included among the early members of the initiative.

DASHUB and the Automotive eXchange Platform (AXP) is proud to be among this emergent community of blockchain trailblazers. Part of our DNA as a company is to do our part and prevent fraud, enhance the integrity of the industry, and to push the boundaries of this new technology. The AXP will play its part in the overall community by utilizing blockchain for financial transactions, sales and customer service transactions, communication between industry actors, and participation from vehicle owners, drivers, and passengers alike. We outline this in our project’s White Paper and we’re keeping a close eye on all of these other exciting projects. We believe that through working together we will help bring about the inevitable mass-adoption of this technology in our industry.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for supporting the AXP.
