Hello fellow AZ FundChain community,

As you all know, we have already been running money circles through our test groups in our closed beta for some time now. This proved extremely essential as we have been able to spot and fix over 20 bugs.

As announced previously it is time for our official public beta release. The Beta version of the App will be released on 30th July 2019. So we wanted to share few more details about our beta version before the release.

We wanted the users to first experience the features of the app and learn about the process and transactions. We know every learning process takes time and transactions to be done to understand the working. This is very vital for adoption of the app in an easy manner by the larger audience. It will help the users new to the ROSCA / Moneycircles method of funding to understand the process and those who are familiar to be familiarized on how it can be done on the AZ Fundchain App. With this in mind and focus we will be deploying the AZ Fundchain Beta version of the App initially on the Ropsten Test Network.

The Testnet is an alternative Ethereum blockchain, to be used for testing. Testnet coins are separate and distinct from actual coins, and are never supposed to have any value which helps our users to beta test the app without any lose of real coins. The most popular public testnet is called Ropsten which is the one we are deploying our beta app on. Ropsten is useful during later stage contract development. Ropsten is essentially the Ethereum network with free ETH.

You don’t have to pay real ether to interact with the Ropsten ethereum blockchain but you can get a feel of the real flow from an end-user’s perspective. Ropsten Testnet is an alternative blockchain designed for testing ethereum contracts in an environment where they have no value. This allows for running contracts in an environment that approximates mainnet with minimal risk, and is the final step before the mainnet launch of the Fundchain app.

In the Beta version of AZ Fundchain app the users will be given a specific number of ETH and AZT on the Ropsten test network wallet. They can use these ETH and AZT to run moneycircles on the app to test the workflow. They can use all options activated in the beta version of the app using the tokens they receive. They can form & run moneycircles inviting their community/friends/ family on to the app. The exact number of ETH and AZT the users will receive and other details of how to add it to the apps wallet will be shared in a blog post on the day of the release of the Beta version of the app.

The FundChain mobile application will be released on July 30th. It will be the first-ever completely decentralized money circle application that is accessible with mobile phones. Remember you’ll be able to join circles with Ethereum and AZT.

Start inviting your friends, and let money organizers know that now there is a better solution to run the money circles safely.

We will release more detailed guides on how to use the application during the time of the release of the Beta version of the App.
