The Challenges of Working From Home as an Executive
What I learned after working from home for three months
It’s been a while since I last commute to work. 1 year and a half to be exact. I did an internship with a local company near my home. I’d go out at seven in the morning and return at eight at night. Probably nine to be honest.
It wasn’t easy. Every time I wait for the bus to pick me up to get me to the train station, I’d wish — how much better life would be if I don’t have to commute to work.
They say be careful what you wish for. It might be granted. And mine certainly did. I’ve been working from home for a bit over three months now. And boy, oh boy, I missed commuting to work.
You need to attend three meetings at once.
One day, I attended an online workshop for junior executives via Webex. I thought it was awesome because I get to sit there and listen as the speaker speaks. Almost like getting a break from work.
