If you’re looking for a book that showcases John Grisham’s unparalleled storytelling ability. Sooley is the answer. Although it’s not his usual fare, legal thriller or courtroom drama, it is an amazing tale.

When I first looked at it and saw that it was $16.99, I thought, do I really want to risk another Playing for Pizza, which was just OK, Bleachers, or Calico Joe, which put me to sleep for that much money? Then, I saw that it was an NYT #1, so I figured I owed Mr. Grisham another chance after all the great novels he gave us — this could be another.
