This movie poster is based off the quote from the chapter, “The Man I Killed”. “He was a slim, dead, almost dainty young man of about twenty. He lay with one leg bent beneath him, his jaw in his throat, his face neither expressive nor inexpressive. One eye was shut. The other was a star-shaped hole.” This quote describes the dead Vietnamese soldier that O’Brien killed with his grenade. This was a very symbolic quote because it shows that O’Brien has to live with what he has done to the boy. These thoughts and memories are among the things that he carries. It also shows that the soldiers carry psychological weight, not just materialistic weight.
