Community members and professional content creators alike can now get BPRO for creating and spreading new educational and fun content about B.Protocol and its Backstop solution.
6k BPRO will be distributed using a Coordinape contributors circle.
The Details
After an initial 3-months run of the B.Protocol Growth Squad, we are taking things to the next level, harnessing more of the B.Protocol community power to grow the reach of the protocol into the final frontiers of the DeFi universe.
Starting from Monday, January 10th 2022, the Growth Squad will run a content creation campaign, rewarding 6k BPRO to content creators that promote, educate and entertain DeFi users on anything B.Protocol related.
Some ideas for content creation and other tasks community members think are worth working on can be found on the contributors' public Trello board. Members can add new ideas and tasks, or “sign” themselves to work on any of the cards listed.
To make the rewards related to specific work done by different contributors, the Growth Squad is using a Coordinape Circle. Each member of the circle is given 100 GIVE points that can be gifted to other contributors according to their work and the way the giver appreciated the outcome (or the process). GIVE points are distributed at the end of each epoch and the balances are reset once a new Epoch begins. Only gifted GIVE are accounted for BPRO rewards so there is no incentive to keep any GIVE. Currently each Epoch will last 3 weeks and distribute 1k BPRO, but this might be changed over time as we learn the process.
The Coordinape circle will be administered by the current members of the Growth Squad (TragedyStruck#7821, ramaruro#7047 and a7om (⊟→⊞)#1581 on B.Protocol Discord server), who are also the multi sig signers of the Growth fund that was allocated in BIP #5.
Besides allocating 6k BPRO to the contributors of the Coordinape circle, the Growth Squad also holds an additional 6k BPRO and 56k USDC to be used for purchasing 3rd party services to enhance the growth efforts of B.Protocol. These funds are the remainings of the Growth Fund genesis phase which allocated 25k BPRO to the growth efforts of B.Protocol.
