The Party to End All Parties

Director Nima Nourizadeh makes his debut film, Project X, this film tells the story of three self proclaimed loser friends who attend a massive High School on the north side Pasadena California. It just so happens that Thomas Cub’s parents are leaving the weekend of his birthday, and if you wanna be big time player, you need to make a big time play. The outcome is the most epic highschool party of all time, filled with booze, drugs, and unlimited highschool tail, this movie never fails to keep you entertained. The film was shot to make it seem as if the video was taken real time, following Thomas, JB, and Costa throughout the night recording all the craziness this party entails, other films shot like this are Chronical, Blair Witch project, and Project Almanac. The score of the film is incredible, it makes you feel as though you’re at the party experiencing everything the 1,500 people there are. Nourizadeh casted no name actors to make it even more real that this actually happened and these kids are actually out there doing things like this. Being a freshman in college and having my fair share of party experiences in both college and High School would say this is a great movie, however this movie has a specific demographic, that being a young audience that can relate or aspire to be like characters portrayed in this film. If you were a fan of Weekend at Bernies, American Pie, or Can’t Hardly Wait, you’ll enjoy this movie.
