Web Stack, summer release

Now that Pharo 7 is finally released (congrats!), we took some time to update the whole web stack hosted at ba-st.

As a general update all the projects now follow the brand new community guidelines and support Pharo 6.1–32 bits and Pharo 7–32 & 64 bits. The build matrix now includes Pharo 8 as a preview.

So, we’re announcing the availability of the following project versions:

RenoirSt

The DSL enabling programmatic cascading style sheet generation has reached version 6.1.1

  • Seaside and Buoy dependencies were updated to their latest versions
  • Portability with GemStone/64 was improved

Boardwalk

This project adds a couple of facilities on top of the Seaside Web Framework, and has now reached version 3.0.0

  • Seaside and Buoy versions were updated to their latest versions
  • JSObjects now support map() , filter() and *

Willow

Since the last announcement (v 10.1.0) the following changes were made:

  • Improved polymorphism between date, number and text fields
  • executeOnClient: usage was simplified
  • The documentation was updated and improved
  • Seaside, Boardwalk and RenoirSt dependencies were updated

Willow Bootstrap

Since the last announcement (v 10.1.0) the following changes were made:

  • Supplied date fields are now consistent with it’s HTML 5 counterpart
  • Willow dependencies were updated
  • Bootstrap version was updated to v3.4.0
  • BootstrapTypeaheadCommand gained the possibility to configure a post-selection action.

Other Willow related projects

Willow-JQueryUI, Willow-SemanticUI, Willow-Mixpanel, Willow-SpinKit and Willow-Playground are now using the updated version of Willow.

HighchartsSt

Since the last announcement, we released v8.0.0, including the following changes:

  • Highcharts and Highstock JS libraries were updated to version 6.0.7
  • The import tool documentation was improved
  • The sources were migrated to Tonel file format (GemStone/64 users must stick to v6 until Tonel support is finished)
  • Seaside and Boardwalk were updated to the latest versions
