Progress report #8: August roundup
Welcome to the August roundup from BABB HQ.
It’s the end of August, and in London the autumn season is almost upon us. Leaves turn brown, the BABB team reaches for our jumpers and our progress continues.
We are posting this update just two weeks after our last progress report, but we have a lot to tell you…
Equity crowdsale
Our equity crowdsale closed on Saturday 18 August. The 7-day “cooling off” period officially started on Friday 31 August and you should have received an email about this from the Crowdcube team, containing details of completing your investment and receiving your shares.
Crowdcube has advised us that there are around 100 people who need to provide their ID in order to pass KYC/AML checks. They have emailed everyone who needs to provide this, so if you’ve got that email please follow the instructions carefully — and let us know if you need any help.
After this seven-day period, Crowdcube will provide us with the email addresses of all investors. We will then be in touch directly with all token sale participants about claiming BAX airdrop, and with all investors about shares in BABB, claiming BAX bonus, and other perks and rewards.
New-style updates
We’ve started rolling out our deep-dive updates into each area of the project. So far, we’ve heard from Ricardo about the product, from Paul about the banking license applications and from Ani about marketing activities.
Let us know what you think of the new updates! Email annie@getbabb.com or chat with us on Telegram.
Retail card payments survey
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who completed the retail card payments survey. The responses have been extremely helpful in informing our evolving partner merchant acquisition strategy.
Live Q&A
We’re hosting the next live Q&A on our Youtube channel this week — time and day TBC. You can subscribe to our channel in order to get notified when we go live.
There several possible contenders to appear in the livestream and answer your questions. We’ll post a Twitter poll nearer the time to give you a chance to choose who it will be.
Coming soon…
Look out for the next deep dive update — this week our new CTO Gaurav will be giving us an insight into the latest tech updates and progress of the development team.
