Hamburg: An Experience to Remember

Before coming to Hamburg, I was expecting a very busy city with many people out and about on the streets. What I actually experienced was a much more laid back, quiet city. From our visit to Airbus, I learned that the Germans are very committed to providing safe products for their customers. Airbus prioritizes safety in every aspect of their manufacturing process- from engineering, design, implementation, and testing. My favorite moment during this trip was seeing the Rathaus (town hall). I was shocked at the size and grandness of the building and I can only imagine how much work went into constructing such a masterpiece. I want to give a shout out to our tour guide as he was very knowledgeable about the 19th century trade district in Hamburg which was something I was looking forward to learning more about after our boat tour of the city. Next time I come back to Hamburg, I will definitely be trying more restaurants. On our final night, I had the opportunity to try a Turkish restaurant that served traditional dishes that were cooked right in front of you. Hamburg has a rich culinary tradition and exploring it more is something I look forward to doing in the future.
