🤝 Babylon Lending Markets

Babylon is a community-led asset management protocol that enables users to create investment clubs (we call them gardens) and invest in DeFi together. It’s built on the Ethereum network and it’s non-custodial, transparent, permission-less, and governed by the community. BABL is the governance token behind it.

Babylon’s Gold Lender Pool

Last month, we announced our intention to create a Rari Fuse Pool for Babylon.

Today, we are happy to announce that Babylon Lending and Borrowing markets are operational. We have more than ~$4.5M in collateral in the pool and that lenders and borrowers will start earning BABL today.

The pool’s name is Babylon’s Gold Lender in honor of Mathon, the lender from The Richest man in Babylon.

💰 Babylon Gold’s Lender

All the markets are incentivized with BABL mining rewards. Following the approval of BIP-10 🗳, 5K BABL have been allocated to reward lenders and borrowers.

The pool supports the following markets:

• ETH — Lending and Borrowing.
• DAI — Lending and Borrowing.
• FEI — Lending and Borrowing.
• FRAX — Lending and Borrowing.
• BABL — Lending.

🔧 Babylon Integration

Starting today, Babylon strategies can leverage our own lending and borrowing markets to earn additional BABL rewards.

Here is a quick how-to 🗒:

1. Head to a garden where you have permissions to create a strategy and click on Submit new strategy.
2. Select Lend Operation and pick Fuse Pool as the protocol.
3. Pick the asset desired to lend as collateral.
4. If desired, add a borrow operation and pick the asset to borrow
5. 💥

🫀 Heart Strategies

Last week we launched the Heart of Babylon, the staking mechanic that allows BABL holders to stake their BABL to receive additional rewards, direct protocol flows and vote on governance for free.

The heart has already two strategies that leverage Babylon Lending and Borrowing markets to generate additional yield for BABL stakers. Here are the two strategies:

• One strategy will lend BABL and borrow ETH to stake in Lido.
• A second strategy will lend BABL and borrow DAI to then enter the Curve/Convex FRAX Pool.
