Tending Gum Trees

I’m growing flowering gums from seed in my LED Garden.

Early morning
peaceful awakening,
Exercise and breakfast,
Time for gardening.

LED garden,
Sun rises
promptly at 8am,
Not really sunrise
timer triggers lights,
Timeless instant
pitch black to
blazing light.

Watering vanilla,
Checking gums,
Saplings prospering,
Adjust stakes and ties,
Fussing and nurturing
brings joy to
gardener’s heart.

Garden designed to
avoids stooping and
back pain,
Saplings grow
chest high,
Easy care and
close scrutiny.

Original intention
plant them out
around son’s garden,
Flowering gum is
scraggly and
grows to 30 feet,
Not much
room in
son’s garden!
Pull house down?
Silly question on
gardener’s part!
