Buddhism offers a less expensive way of dealing with all the cow dung life piles on top of us — The Four Noble Truths. With this salve, we can heal our spiritual wounds and meditate toward peace and contentment in a world full of suffering. I’m listening.

Both can be great tools for coping with life’s challenges. But neither of those tools compares to the modern-day evangelical church, which offers every lifestyle improvement we could ever hope for if you are willing to follow Jesus in the way they say you should.

Why didn’t I understand this on my first evangelical go around? I’m not sure. Sometimes a person needs to step away from their environment to discover its true value.

So here are ten reasons why I want to be an evangelical again.
