The doctrine of inerrancy holds that the Bible is divinely-inspired and therefore cannot contain any errors or flaws.

Some Christians argue, if you don’t believe in an inerrant Bible, then you don’t respect the Word of God and, by extension, God Himself.

But the Bible itself does not support Biblical inerrancy.

Here are five overlooked passages from the Bible that deconstruct inerrancy and show how the doctrine actually diminishes scripture.

More importantly, these passages point us toward a better way to read and relate to the Bible.
