You know, I was thinking the other day how utterly absurd it is that men (and some women) insist that men should hold all the power — in pretty much all spheres of life — including casting one vote for them as a couple.

I guess that’s the inevitable outcome when someone is entrenched in a particular worldview, come hell or high water. That trench has gotten so deep; it will become their grave; it will be their undoing.

Sometime in the not-too-distant past, a small tweak in interpretation, a tiny pebble of weird logic dropped into the ocean of interpretation, causing an ever-increasing ripple that led to that inevitable outcome.

Now, to each his own. Personally, I think it’s nuts. It is, at best, a lazy way to deal with all the issues we’re facing. But hey, people are complicated, so whatever. On the other hand, her views are extreme, so I’m happy she’s not voting — and, well, my vote counts more now.
