Green Cheese

A daft poem with a bad smell

They took their curds
but lost their way

when they
went to make
the cheese that day

Our little ship
smelt the gift
from afar

Now their curds
are among
the stars

It couldn’t
have happened
a moment too soon

We are short of cheese
and this
should be green

in time
for the next
full moon

“To feel envy is human, to savour schadenfreude is devilish.”
