ANOTHER SOCIAL MEDIA MELTDOWN TODAY

Twitter Erroneously Sent Me An Error Message About Tweeting Too Many Times Today

I definitely didn't exceed their 2,400 tweet limit per day and many other people were also affected by the glitch as well

If this isn’t another technical hiccup at Twitter caused by poor management and leadership at the company since Elon Musk took over, then I don’t know what else to say at this point. I love to share my own stories daily when I publish. I usually do the rounds. I’ll publish it on Facebook and also on Twitter.

Not only do I publish my own work on Twitter, but I also try to publish whenever I edit and publish work on any of my publications. I do this so that writers can get views and reads from social media. I don’t actually know if any of the writers that I feature on Twitter when I promote their work actually get helped by the extra exposure but I know that it’s better than doing nothing.

Maybe today’s glitch is a sign of the end times for the platform. Sending out an error message that tells people that they’ve exceeded their daily limit and in essence limits everyone and anyone’s ability to actually tweet today was a major mistake for the flailing company. It also shakes my trust in the company even further. I didn’t trust Elon taking over the platform from the start and every major move that he’s made so far has reinforced my mistrust of his ultimate intentions.

He really does seem to want to dominate the narrative there and seem to silence anyone that would even sniff or dare to speak out against him. I’m certainly a vocal opponent of Elon Musk and pretty much all billionaires. Maybe this is the start of his attempt to censor anyone on the left who would even care to disagree with him on anything.

Or as we all suspect, just another misstep in a series of tons of missteps on his way to destroying the company. Either way, this definitely isn’t a good look for a company that used to be much more reliable and accountable to its users. Now we wait as we watch this virtual universe burn to the ground.

This was just a test. I’m sure that there’ll be more days like this to come in the near future for the social media platform. How did the “outage” affect your day today and promote your writing? Do you still use Twitter or have you shifted to other platforms?

RELATED LESSON: We have become so reliant on these major social media platforms. It’s always a good idea to spread our work out across multiple platforms. The end is inevitable for companies like Meta (Facebook), Twitter, and other large tech companies that got way too big for their own good. Despite these companies being somewhat “evil”, the everyday people that are still a part of these platforms still rely on them to get their messaging and stories out to the general public. A total collapse of them would create mass chaos and bedlam. Nobody wants to see the world burn in an instant, or do they?
