Everything you need to know about sponsoring and supporting the Badge Summit, and a shout-out to our summit sponsors!

The Badge Summit has been going on for about 8 years. It was started by Summit Chair, Noah Geisel, the Micro-Credential Program Manager at the University of Colorado, Boulder. The summit is made possible every year because of the wonderful badging community, the host — CU Boulder, and summit sponsors.

In this article, we share some insights about sponsoring, and give a shout-out to our wonderful sponsors for 2023!

What is unique about the Badge Summit?

The community is what makes the Badging Summit unique and is one you want to support and become a member of.

The summit is an annual gathering of people brought together by their commitment to an open, inclusive, and accessible world where everyone has access to, and the right to be recognized for — their skills, competencies and capabilities, their behaviors, contribution, and even their social capital or reputation. It is a community of very clever and kind souls committed to exploring how technologies such as badges, micro-, and other forms of digital credentials can serve to make what is often invisible or missing from/within our recognition systems — visible and useable.

The Badge Summit community is one committed to change in how our reognition systems work, could work differently, and who they could truly benefit.

Who attends the Badge Summit?

The Badging Community is attended by a unique mix of national and international educators from K-12, post-secondary, and workplace learning; to program and technology managers, workforce development, and skill-based experts; to badging engineers, platform and technology vendors, as well as funders and investors. What brings everyone together is a commitment to a more open, inclusive, and accessible future of learning, work, and living.

Why sponsor the Badge Summit?

The Badge Summit @ CU Boulder is a special opportunity for sponsors to connect, interact with, and support the international badge, micro-, and digital credential community. In the words of Badge Summit Chair, Noah Geisel:

The Badge Summit brings together some of the brightest and most inspiring Digital Badge thought leaders on the planet for highly interactive learning and sharing! Noah Geisel, tMicro-Credential Program Manager, University of Colorado, Boulder.

What is a sponsorship experience like?

The Badge Summit organizer strives to ensure that the sponsorship experience is as meaningful as it is beneficial. The team collaborates to create a unique partnership that is a good fit for each sponsor with attendees aware that sponsors are here to offer essential experience and expertise.
