Bahraini Frigate Joins Arab Coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope For Yemen

The Royal Bahrain Naval Force’s (RBNF) frigate, “Sabha”, has left the Kingdom to participate in Operation Restoring Hope within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition.

Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa visited the headquarters of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force on Tuesday ahead of the frigate’s departure. He was welcomed by Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, assistant chiefs of staff, RBNF Commander Commodore Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and senior BDF officers.

The commander-in-chief released a statement conveying the directives and well wishes of HM King Hamad, the Supreme Commander, for the BDF’s mission of defending the legitimacy of its Yemeni ally, saying “You embody courage and bravery in the fields of honor and heroism, and you set the example in loyalty to your leadership and beloved nation.”

The RBNF’s “Sabha” has taken part in numerous international military peacekeeping tasks. It also participated in counter-piracy efforts within Task Force 151.
