Foreign Minister Meets With US National Security Advisors

While on the current official visit to the US, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister met with members of the National Security Council to discuss current issues and progress in areas of mutual interest. In a meeting with the US Deputy National Security Advisor, Avril Haines, and Middle East Affairs Adviser at the National Security Council, Robert Malley, HE Shaikh Khalid reiterated the importance of the role of the US in cooperation with regional countries in resolving the current crisis and challenges in the region. He noted that this is the only way to achieve the aspirations of the people in the region, while bolstering security and stability.

Ms. Haines expressed her appreciation for the role Bahrain has played in the region and its efforts to maintain security and stability. She also noted Bahrain’s role in enhancing positive communication and dialogue with countries across the world, and reaffirmed the continued commitment of the US to expand cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields.
