Bahrain-UK cooperation in prisoners’ rights field

Manama, Oct 30 (BNA) – The Chief Public Prosecutor today received HM Chief Inspector of Prisons and the accompanying delegation, in the framework of establishing cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of prisoners’ rights and the inspection of punitive and reform establishments.

The First Attorney General and theHead of Special Investigation Unit, also attended the meeting.

Chief Public Prosecutor reviewed cooperation and training aspects to develop the staff’s capacities, according to international standards.

HM Chief Inspector of Prisons underlined readiness to provide support for officials to follow up prisoners’ conditions and rights as guarantee by law.
