HM the King receives US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL

Manama, Oct 28 (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, General John Allen, at Safriya Palace, in the framework of his tour in the region.

HM the King tackled the international coalition’s efforts in confronting the ISIL which raises threat to the region’s security and stability, stressing Bahrain’s support for the international community’s efforts in combating all forms of terrorism and uprooting its funding to maintain international peace and security.

HM the King lauded the longstanding bilateral relations at all levels, noting the role played by US-led international coalition in maintaining international security, stability and peace.

HM the King reviewed regional development and topics of joint interest.
