HRH Princess Sabeeka expresses pride in Bahraini women’s role in elections 2014

In a statement following the remarkable success of the parliamentary and municipal elections 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, expressed thanks and appreciation to every Bahraini woman for assuming their national duty and exercising their constitutional right and consolidating their political participation..

HRH Princess Sabeeka said “ the world has seen the Bahraini mother’s honorable and civilized image through media outlets, who voted regardless of her health conditions and obligations, which is the best proof of Bahraini women resolve to prioritise Bahrain’s interest, in order to maintain Bahrain’s stability and protect its future”.

HRH Princess Sabeeka underscored the Bahraini woman responsible stance, expressing her pride and appreciation for the Bahraini woman as a role model for the coming generations.

In light of the preliminary results of parliamentary and municipal elections 2014, HRH Princess Sabeeka hailed the results of a woman candidate who won a seat in the Municipal Council of the Northern Governorate.

HRH Princess Sabeeka wished women candidates running for a second round every success, expressing hope that voters will continue to support the democratic action so as to embody Bahrain’s civilized participation.
