Christian Pecher started at BB as a freelancer on trans-disciplinary design, and we are excited that he now will be joining our team in Germany on a full-time basis.

Originally trained as a graphic and interaction designer, Christian worked for Mercedes-Benz’s Advanced Experience Design Team in Stuttgart for several years. He designed futuristic interaction and mobility concepts and was involved in some of its well-known show cars. His past work centres around new technology, ecology, and public engagement– ranging from screen-based design, mixed reality, immersive spaces to material research and landscape design.

Growing up around the rural German ice rinks, Christian played hockey until injuries, and an increasingly long x-ray registry, made him focus on digital and creative projects instead. He got his master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in London, where he specialised in the exploration and design of spatial interactions, mixed with a fascination for architecture and living materials. This perhaps also explains his interest in wildlife and nature: He enjoys all sorts of climbing and occasionally escapes with nothing but his backpack and tent to cross the Alps on foot or conquer the Corsican GR20.

We look forward to updates from his many excursions and hiking tips in our #outdoor channel on Slack. Welcome, Christian!
