Palak Bisen

With a fast growing team in Oslo, Bonn, Amsterdam and London, we have been on the lookout for someone who can ensure that our team is taken care of in the best way possible at all times.

We are very glad to have Palak take on the role as our new Head of People Operations, where she’ll oversee the administration of our entire employee lifecycle: from recruitment, onboarding, and growth paths to managing day-to-day HR related issues.

Palak moved to Oslo from Mumbai in 2014 to study, but ended up staying after falling completely in love with Norway. Prior to joining Bakken & Bæck she worked as a consultant within talent strategy, recruitment, and psychometric assessment for several tech startups and bigger companies like Telenor and Schibsted. She holds an MSc. in Leadership and Organizational Psychology from BI Norwegian Business School and a Bachelor in Economics and Human Resource Management from the University of Delhi.

Her big loves in life are cheese (& cheesy puns) and good food in general. She also enjoys stand-up comedy, podcasts that explain how things work, board game nights, hiking in and around Oslo and trying to ski. She has ambitious goals of travelling to more countries than she has today (22), but has a sneaking suspicion that she peaked in life when she had eight different kinds of cheese in her refrigerator at the same time.

Vilde Reichelt

Vilde holds a master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Oslo and is joining us as a copywriter. She is used to being at the frontier of technological development, coming to us from Google where she’s spent the last one and a half years choosing words and designing language for their Google Assistant in Norwegian. She previously worked with Schibsted and the Norwegian National Library on a language resource, so she’s well-versed in the NLP (Natural Language Processing) landscape.

Vilde is very proud of her family’s own rules in Chinese checkers and working as a milkmaid for cute, little goats in the Norwegian mountains. She also has the largest global collection orange juice cartons that we’ve ever heard of, consisting of approximately 140 different types bought and brought to her from all over the world.

Other than that, she’s very excited about combining her knowledge of linguistic science with creative writing, and so are we!

Welcome, Palak and Vilde! 🙌
