Petter and Amelie join our Oslo team

We are starting 2021 by adding two more talented people to our team in Oslo. Meet Petter, the newest contribution to the brand design team, and Amelie, our first Contextual Design Researcher.

Amelie Dinh is joining us as a Contextual Design Researcher, a completely new role at Bakken & Bæck. Through research-based writing and design, she’ll help us bridge the ever-changing opportunities of technological development with the wider needs of people, organisations and society.

From Toronto, Amelie has a BA in political science and philosophy and a Masters in Design. In a previous life, she worked as a producer and operations director for Canadian music festivals and cultural events, and clients such as Nike, Samsung, and Mastercard. In her current life, she lives in Oslo where she balances her design and research work with endless side projects. Her areas of interest include the cultural terrain of new media, and the aesthetics and rhetorics of emerging technology.

Outside of work, she watches the occasional documentary and tries to make a dent in her ever-growing reading list. She has considered the marketability of opening a basketball-themed bar in Oslo (it’s low) and is eagerly awaiting the reopening of saunas.

The same goes for brand designer Petter Torgersen Myhr. He is a dedicated sauna enthusiast and has grand plans for a BB Sauna Club with the utmost proper attire — including slippers, robes, and towels.

Petter holds a BA in Graphic Design from Westerdals Oslo ACT. Before joining Bakken & Bæck, Petter spent three years at Anti, and he also has experience from agencies like Iterate, Dinamo, and EVRY. For the last couple of years, he has worked closely with clients such as the Henie Onstad Art Center and the independent literary festival God Natt, Oslo. The work has consisted of both branding, web design, art books, and campaign design.

Alongside this, he plays drums, making a long awaited contribution to our BB house band.
