In the Atlanta University Center, a timeless adage resonates deeply: “Find a way or make one.” This mantra captures the essence of innovation, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of opportunities. In today’s market, identifying gaps and seizing them with creative solutions is not just a strategy; it’s a necessity for those looking to carve their niche and thrive among the competition and for those who want to make life easier for their target consumer. There is an art when identifying market gaps and filling them.

Can we take a moment to give props to people who see a need or gap in the market and develop a product that fills that gap? Every time you say to yourself, why don’t they have something that does this? You should do some research to see if what you’re looking for exists, and if it doesn’t, turn your idea into a reality if you have time, of course.

My sister called me this morning and asked me if I had bought this product called the “UNbrush.” I responded joyfully with a resounding yes! She wanted to tell me that you can now purchase the brush in-store and not just online. She was so happy and wanted to buy another one.

My sister is an avid TikTok watcher; a few months ago, she sent me videos about the UNbrush and told me how great it was because she bought one, and it worked. My sister and I have different hair textures, and I am always skeptical about buying things because most natural hair products don’t agree with my hair texture or scalp. My hair is not the easiest to detangle, and I often give up on most hairstyles because I would have to dedicate a lot of time and energy that I do not have.

I had a hair appointment last month, and my hair stylist was able to use whatever tool she was using to glide through my hair like butter. I was shocked. To my surprise, it was the UNbrush. Upon leaving the appointment, I immediately purchased an UNbrush of my own. One week later, I washed my hair and used the UNbrush to detangle my hair, and I was shocked. I have used that brush three times since my appointment, and I’m in awe every single time. If you don’t believe me, try for yourself here.

In a world overflowing with possibilities and challenges, the entrepreneurial spirit of “find a way or make one” is a guiding light for those navigating the expansive sea of market dynamics. Ask yourself often, when presented with a challenge, is there a way to get to yes, or am I just saying no because it has never been done? As we embrace innovation and adaptability, remember that the path to success often lies in our ability to recognize opportunities where others see obstacles and forge ahead with unwavering determination. So, whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or an aspiring trailblazer, remember: find a way or make one – it’s not just a motto but a blueprint for entrepreneurial success.
