Anger’s Empowering Shield In the Face of Fear
Knowing how to use it to bring you solace, is key.
Fear directs us into vulnerability and powerlessness. Yet it has rewards when utilized respectfully and properly towards a righteous goal.
Anger enters shockingly, slamming doors, quaking walls
Confidence bobbing, looking through angles, hides and falls
Anxiety follows, timid with wrinkled brow, grinning,
Crouching, nervously cornered, weakly mimicking
“Hit me again if you dare!” Anger bullies, loud and clear,
Nothing moves, no stirring outwardly, just silent fear
Upon a soul longing for Relief’s sweet deliverance,
Worn from sadness, shaken, braced against intolerance.
Angst burns in embers, wrath boiling, igniting wages,
Demanding respect, throttling hurt, opening rages.
Fear quietly unveils, in timidity, its cowardice moods,
Resembling fawn in the fight, frozen in flight, servanthoods.
Hostile agitation leaks from advantageous provocations
It crowns fear’s depression with barbed frustrations
Shirks within itself, fear hides within fawning’s safety…
