HELPFUL BIRD

Once there lived a bird. The bird was very cheerful and was loved by all the other animals in the forest. The animals lived in harmony and were happy creatures.

Days passed, months passed but the forest did not see the rain. It didn’t rain that year and soon the forest went dry. The animals went looking for some other place which had food and water. This bird was flying high and it saw everything from above. It saw the village from above and saw the people who too were hungry and thirsty. It saw little children looking up waiting for the rain. The bird saw all of this and went ahead with it’s fellow animals. They all reached another forest and saw that it was green and had everything in abundance.

The bird looked at everything and had a plan. It gathered the fellow birds and all of them decided to help the children. They carried the fruits from the trees in their beaks and dropped down when they flew above the village. The children were delighted to see the fruits and ate to their hearts content. The bird was also very happy to see all of this.
