BallerTV Releases Exclusive Collectible Moments from 2021 Pangos All-American Camp
The camp’s alums include NBA stars Trae Young and Ben Simmons, and its 2019 co-MVPs are the projected №1 and №2 overall picks in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft.
BallerTV is releasing a limited edition run of collectible highlights and moments from the 2021 Pangos All-American Camp on June 8. BallerTV NFTs, which contain exclusive footage of up-and-coming basketball stars are “the new rookie card,” a way for collectors to own an exclusive and unique piece of the first moments of the future crop of NBA players.
Founded by Dinos Trigonis, The Pangos All-American Camp has long served as a showcase event for the nation’s 120 best high school basketball players. The invite-only camp is a rite of passage for future NBA stars. Camp alumni include some of the NBA’s best, including All-NBA power forward Anthony Davis, former league MVP’s Russell Westbrook and James Harden, and NBA All-Stars Ben Simmons and Trae Young, to name a few.
The camp’s 2019 co-MVPs were Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley — ESPN’s projected №1 and №2 overall picks, respectively, in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft. BallerTV will feature exclusive highlights from the 2021 edition of the camp in its first-ever run of NFTs.
As its first-ever release, BallerTV is anticipating significant interest from the online collectible community. NBA Top Shot, an NFT-backed collectible platform for NBA players, saw multiple first-run highlights sold for six figures, with one dunk featuring LeBron James netting $387,600. BallerTV’s first ever limited run of NFTs features top players in what promises to be an outstanding future NBA rookie class in 2023 — in essence, this release marks the first run of the next-generation rookie card.
Immediately following the Cream of the Crop game, an MVP of the camp will be selected. There will be a special one-of-a-kind MVP NFT drop that includes footage from the final game, along with unique MVP artwork to celebrate the milestone.
The class of 2022, one of the most anticipated recruiting classes in years, headlines the camp, with consensus Top-10 recruits Jalen Duren and Keyonte George expected to participate.
Proceeds from the sale of BallerTV NFTs will be made available to the participating players upon graduation in a push to give high school athletes an opportunity to benefit from their name, image and likeness. In addition to this effort to comply with state athletic regulations, players will also have the option to direct the proceeds to a charity or community organization of their choosing.
