The Theme of The Week Is Catching Up

“In our frenzied attempts to catch up with life, we run right past it. Once we have run past it, what we are in reality attempting to catch is ourselves.”
Craig D. Lounsbrough

First I would like to say that I hope you all are have had a wonderful first nine days of the year! I have a lot of catching up to do!

But first, let’s catch you up on my recent stories.

Recently I released the third chapter of the Beulé and Plessa series, Sing Like a Canary. it’s about 16 minutes long so I know that many won’t have patience to get through a chapter so long — but I would greatly appreciate the time!

Catching Up

Now, more than ever I am giving myself the time to relax.

I know you didn’t expect me to say this — but the only way for me to catch up on anything I am behind in is to rest first. Rest was the key I consistently ignore last year. Though I will not make that a pattern this year.

I gave up time to myself primarily because I believed that when I gave myself downtime I was deterring any point of productivity within the day. I could be watching a movie and feel like,

“In this hour and a half I could of whipped up an article or a chapter for a novel.”

With prospective project after prospective project it made 2021 incredibly overwhelming. I’ve finally come to a place where I’m balanced.

And I’m excited.

I’m catching up on work.

I’m catching up on shows I’ve been wanting to watch

I’m giving myself time to live my life!

It’s been nine days into the new year — people are posting everyday left to right on here.

You know what I’ve done?

I’m reaching out to friends and family

I’ve watched musicals

I’m reading again

and I’m working on not being so stressed when work isn’t where I want it to be daily.

So… what I want you to take from this Sunday

I want you to know to take the opportunity of relaxing — I mean, some of us are working ourselves way too hard.

Being entirely too hard on ourselves.

And not allowing ourselves to breathe.

And ultimately it results in falling behind on everything — work, social lives, creating.

Settle down so you can recharge, prioritize and catch up.

And The Q’s

Q: What are you doing to reset?(mentally, physically, spiritually?)

Q: How are you prioritizing hobbies/work for the new Year?

I hope you all have a wonderful, beautiful and safe 2022!
