Hello everyone! We are starting a new series — #IAmASGYouthVolunteer, where we will be sharing with you original content we have put together to celebrate the youth volunteers in Singapore.
We went to Ground-Up Initiative on 7th October to see many youth volunteers take part actively in GUI’s flagship programme, Balik Kampung (“Going Home” in Malay). There were students ranging from 17–23 years old and they played a meaningful part through cooking, weeding, cutting logs, and removing nails from old wooden planks. All their efforts will definitely go a long way in building an environmentally sustainable community :)
