Meet the Mentors: Charlie Parra

Charlie Parra del Riego is a Peruvian guitarist and composer. Affectionately known as Charlie Parra, he became the first South American artist to have a signature guitar by Kramer Guitars USA and the Gibson corporation in 2015.

Charlie also toured in Germany and Mexico to perform as a solo artist in World of Warcraft expansions release parties and at the Overwatch release. He also worked on the music for a Duke Nukem release trailer.

Working with BandUp, Charlie will oversee and mentor all the guitar entries for the competition. During the live rounds, Charlie’s input and feedback to the judges will be instrumental in deciding who get through to the next round, and who’ll be going home.
