Where is it?

Finsbury Park.

Opening hours?

10.30am to 12.30am Sun to Thurs, 10.30am to 1.30am Fri and Sat.

What is it?

One cannot render the majestic wonder of Rowans through the written word alone. Rowans is a whispered dream. Rowans is your brain on the most magic of mushrooms. Rowans is a half-remembered childhood memory of a time when you were truly, genuinely happy but can never quite recapture. Rowans is… a bowling alley and karaoke bar that turns into a club at night.

Dress code?

Casual. Exceedingly casual. But also hot.

Is it accessible?

Downstairs definitely is.

LGBTQI+ friendly?

Rowans is a friend to all.

What’s the vibe?

If you think Rowans can be confined to one singular vibe you, my friend, are sorely mistaken. Rowans is every vibe and by that I mean the DJ on Saturday transitioned from Megan Thee Stallion into Glue, by Bicep and somehow it was the greatest thing to happen maybe ever?

Rowans is complete unbridled chaos and the best time of your life. Which means it’s one of the most fertile shagging sites going — especially as it’s one of the only bars in London that really does attract people from every walk of life. The horn here is out of control. However, with the venue’s newly implemented early close, get here before 10.30pm unless you want to be mired in the long ass queue and subjected to the dreaded ‘one in, one out’ rule.

Best/worst thing about this venue?

Best: It’s fucking ROWANS.

Worst: The new early closing times. The people must have MORE.
