First update on the COVID-19 relief work fundraiser by Jeevan Shiksha

I know this is coming very late, but as everyone is aware already, I have been away from my phone and computer due the padyatra (world walk) I have been involved in. I am still stuck in Dharwad (Karnataka) due to the lockdown, and trying to do the maximum I can on providing relief to the people who have been affected the most (other than patients).

We have carefully designed a family kit (for a family of 4) which should last 10–15 days. The families have been specifically listed by our team in the villages, particularly those who do not hold ration cards and those whose daily income has been affected. We have listed approx. 40 families for now and will keep on adding to the list as information is received in time. As we all are aware, Assam produces large quantity of tea in India, and the tea gardens living in conditions of poverty since centuries. Malnutrition is rampant and if we do not do anything now, we may encounter several more challenges in coming days.
