Belfast shipyard, a land once renowned throughout Europe. Harland and Wolff, is an industrial company specialising in offshore construction and shipbuilding. The shipyard formed by Edward James Harland (1831–95) and Hamburg born Gustav Wilhelm Wolff (1834–1913).

Facing competitive pressures (regards shipbuilding) Harland and Wolff sought to shift and broaden their portfolio. Since the decline in the workforce of Harland and Wolff, this has seen a dramatic change in the industrial landscape. Land once surrounded by factories and warehouses, is now baron.

Focusing on the land within the shipyard, the attraction came as this sleeping giant lays in rest, the surrounding industrial landscape flourishes.

This once important site, is now a wasteland.
