Safest place in town

A group of ladies sitting together around the table burst out in laughter saying to each other, “Well, it could be worse!”.

After the disappearance of the I.R.A bombings and shootings, the Bingo surge was one of the early signs that the people of Belfast were adjusting well. Today still, the Bingo halls are well-visited and every day the same people join in for a game and form a community, or what they like to call themselves — a family. The walls of these halls have become their safe place where being together means just as much as the game itself.
