While living in a city of rich and turbulent history, becoming part of a subculture can become very important. Being part of one often creates a lot of reassurance and feeling of safety and belonging. Sharing the same passion brings people together without depending on their background. Skate Culture of Belfast is one of those subcultures cultivating respect for each other. By watching each other practise they open up for new discoveries and the social event in between skating becomes as important as the act itself.
