Many organisations are still going through the tedious process of manually consolidating and transferring volunteer data (a process that could take up to 600 minutes) — a huge problem that is not only time-consuming, but also inefficient.

Fret not, we’ve got it covered for you! With the pseudo A.I. capabilities of bantu Workspace, you can easily consolidate volunteer data you’ve collected from different platforms, and easily integrate them into your existing volunteer database with just a few intuitive steps.

(A) Drag and Drop Imports

Workspace supports external volunteer data additions through speedy data imports. Simply drag-and-drop an Excel file of current volunteer information onto Workspace and the platform will do the upload, within seconds, for you.

1. Intelligent Data Deduplication

For large organisations with hundreds (even thousands) of volunteers across numerous touch-points, it can be difficult for volunteer managers to coordinate and share information, resulting in the problem of data duplication. In addition, with volunteer data stored in such a disorganised fashion, there is the risk of losing or missing data.

Say goodbye to having rows of volunteers who is in fact the same person! Workspace helps you to automatically identify duplicate volunteer information during the Excel import.

How do we do this? Workspace uses an intelligent data scan of all the information uploaded. Using multiple data points such as email address, first name, national identification number, Workspace then deduces the people who are potentially the same volunteer who are already in your organisation!

2. Autocorrecting Inconsistent Data

For fields such as ‘Gender’, where volunteers could have typed all sorts of variations e.g. ‘Male’, ‘M’, ‘male’ or ‘MALE’, Workspace automatically recognises that the volunteer is male! This autocorrect-like feature also applies to the columns during the Excel file import. For instance, Workspace instantly knows that you’re importing a bunch of volunteers’ first name regardless whether your organisation uses, ‘First Name’, ‘FiRsT nAME’, or ‘FIRST_NAME’. This intelligent feature helps with keeping your volunteer data clean, precise and accurate at all times ;)

P.s. If you have Custom Fields that your organisation added into Workspace, you can also import this data right into the dashboard to manage volunteers. This helps your organisation manage issues of having inconsistent data across the many touch-points!

(B) Quick Exports

Once the upload is completed, Workspace users will be able to view all the volunteer information in a simple-to-use and well organised dashboard. No more clunky Excel sheet with tons of messy rows and columns!
