Banyan Network BBN — Year in Review 2018
As the BBN team reflects over 2018, we are reminded of all the hard work the team has put in to build our DVN Ecosystem as well as the support given by all our community members that believe in what we are building. 2018 was an eventful year for BBN — being listed on our first exchange, landing our first paying customer, getting our first super data source and much more.
Below, we have highlighted some of the main milestones we achieved in 2018. In 2019, we want to continue marching forwards to establish BBN as the world’s first Global Data fusion network.
Multi-Trust Connector Product
One of the first key milestones we reached was the release of our Multi-Trust Connector Product on May 8, 2018. The MTC is used to record user permissions and authorization on the blockchain. This is the first product that BBN has released and the smart contract is now also live on the HPB mainnet.
DVN (Data Fusion Value Chain Network) Updates
Our first super data source was plugged into our DVN on July 21. Since then we have plugged in a total of 12 super data sources with 27 APIs. These data sources come from a variety of different industries including the automotive industry, telecommunications industry, financial industry and more.
BBN Data Platform
On September 13, 2018 we released our BBN Data platform to the public. Our customers use this platform to access our DVN APIs and the public can also see detailed information on all our APIs and data sources.
Customers
One of the most important milestones of this year, was when we landed our first paying customer in August. It confirmed that companies were willing to pay for access to our DVN APIs and services. Since then, we have 4 paying customers and all together they have purchased 12.1 Million BBN!
Other Highlights
In 2018, we were able to build a strong community of thousands of supporters across Telegram, Twitter, Medium, Discord, and Instagram.
The community wanted more exchanges and the team worked hard to deliver on that. First listed on Bibox, BBN is now also listed on Coinex, Ethfinex, Bitfinex, Coinsuper, and Idex.
Our CEO David has also had the opportunity to attend conferences around the world promoting BBN.
2019
And this is just the beginning. We have more planned in 2019 to accomplish and just like in 2018 we would not be able to do it without the support of our BBN community. We look forward to what 2019 and the future has to bring!
