What is Barbarians.app?
We’ll be opening the doors on the pre-sale very soon but before then…
Barbarians.app is a crypto-collectible & trading game inspired by the retro games of the Commodore 64 & Amiga… with beautifully crafted pixel art gaming cards that you will want to collect as well as play within the in-game battle arenas!
Each card is unique… split into 3 main types:
- Barbarians — these are your main player cards, every one unique and ready to be owned by you… with unique a name, unique stats, etc!
- Weapons — pair these with a Barbarian Card to go into battle, the weapons also have a unique combination of stats, a unique image and are ready to be owned, used in battle and can also be traded
- Armour — again pair up with a player Barbarian card to help in the battle arena, unique combination of stats and ready to be used in battle and traded up when ready!
To play the game you will need at least 1 Horde Master Barbarian… this is the head of your barbarian horde. You can purchase as little or as many other cards as you wish. Adding to your Horde as you see fit, building your Barbarians collection as you go.
When the Battle Arenas launch shortly after the pre-sale — you can challenge any player on the system to a battle… you can also place yourself up for an open challenge (Although may be risky as a high level or well equipped player could take you up on your offer — doesn’t mean they’ll always win but they will have an advantage!!)
Every Barbarians card that you play has stats (Strength, Health, Dexterity & Intelligence) and along with any selected Weapon & Armour cards these stats all have an impact on the battle outcome. The winner receives Experience Points which allow you to level up when a set amount has been reached… which in turn increases one of your stats!
This all increases the value of individual cards if you wish to trade any of your cards on the Barbarians Market — the market is traded in Ethereuem too! No secondary token, so you can buy and sell your cards for pure Eth!
After each battle there will also be a random chance that the winner will receive a battle prize… this could be a weapon card, armour card or even a new Barbarian card joining your horde!
The initial roadmap is:
- Launch pre-sale with discount on Barbarian Card Packs. There will also be some special one-off Character Barbarians, Weapons & Armour available for purchase — This is imminent, we launch in the next couple of weeks
- General release = standard Level 1 Horde Master, Weapon & Armour Card Pack Sales without the discount (Get in early to buy before the discount expires!)
- Trading of Cards Opens — allowing players to trade cards between themselves
- Battle Arenas Open for Combat
- Our top-secret plans for phase 2 will be released (Already in development!)
