Telegram is a very popular messenger among the crypto community. The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, understood this even when he was collecting money for the ICO of the TON blockchain. His plans included launching the Gram cryptocurrency in the popular messenger. The startup even managed to raise $ 1.7 billion in its second round of ICO, but the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) put an end to the ambitious project. However, Telegram has not gone anywhere, gaining a foothold thanks to its user-friendly interface and secure encryption.

For a long time, Telegram continued to gain popularity among crypto enthusiasts who discussed their investment strategies in specialized Telegram channels and chats. Such groups are very convenient not only for discussing the market, but are also aggregators of news, charts, and exchange rates. Some monitor the entire market as a whole without leaving the telegram, while others follow a specific project. It so happens that the processes of companies are built in Telegram. Bots are internal applications in the messenger that allow you to use functions as in regular applications, but at the expense of text messages. Telegram bots are so flexible that you can implement anything you want.

How do telegram bots work?

Telegram is more than just a messenger. Back in 2015, Telegram launched a platform for developing bots. Bots are essentially Telegram accounts controlled by AI algorithms that perform various functions — looking for news, tracking currency rates, weather, and even creating memes.

Of course, bots have found use in cryptocurrency trading as well. Telegram trading bots are similar to chatbots, which are an integrated trading API for communicating with cryptocurrency trading websites. Cryptocurrency trading on Telegram is booming — it is very convenient, you do not need to constantly check coinmarketcap and go to dozens of different exchanges, you can trade in the same application where a minute ago you discussed the prospects of your favorite token in the chat of your comrades. This allows you to quickly respond to lucrative offers.

However, vigilance is also not worth losing. Often under the guise of popular trading bots (for example, by simply changing one letter in the name), they create fake copies of them that are used by scammers. Always check the names carefully!

Barter Wallet Bot

Telegram bots are easy to use — the interface works while chatting with a bot or works in a telegram channel where the bot is added. Let’s use Barter Wallet Bot as an example.

First, you need to add the bot to the telegram channel and assign it as an administrator. Further, in order to transfer tokens to someone in the telegram channel, it is enough to write the following (the minimum amounts are indicated):

send 1 BRTR @ [recipient’s nickname] — you will send 1 BRTR to the chat member with bot @ [member’s name in Telegram]. Alternatively, you can simply reply to the participant and write send 0.01 BUSD or send 0.0001 ETH

At the moment, Barter Wallet Bot supports cryptocurrencies: BRTR, ETH, BUSD, BTC, as well as DOGE.

The send command is used regardless of the language of the telegram channel. If you need a fast P2P exchange, just create a buy or sell order with the asset you are interested in for the selected pair. If you want to know more about our bot, we recommend taking a look here. The bot’s functionality is not limited to the banal transfer of assets, it supports staking, several games and a profitable referral program.
