Today our guest is a truly unusual author who is not afraid of eccentric and vivid experiments in his work. Today our guest is Red Scooter — an unusual and memorable personality.

Greetings! Judging by your collection, it can be said that you were interested in art long before the NFT hype

Of course, I began to engage in creativity long before I heard about NFTs and other charms of the life of contemporary artists. To be honest, I am generally doubtful of those who primarily consider art from the side of how much or how little it can bring material benefits. I think that if you only want to make money, you will never create something really worthwhile, it must be a real inner impulse and a desire to speak out.

Tell us something about yourself. What are your interests besides art?

I somehow finished my studies at the institute, at the same time I also tried on various interesting roles, try something new. I recently got a job in funeral services and at the same time starred in a talk show on Friday.

How did you first learn about NFTs and blockchain?

I think I found out at about the same time as everyone else, because this wave of hype covered everyone and everything in its time. I was initially interested in the very concept of monetization of copyright, and I continued to follow this market.

Tell us about the rides in your head, thanks to which your creativity appeared.

To be honest, I’m not sure that I can tell you about all the rides, but there were more than enough of them, mostly a variety of practices and experiences, and a couple of revelations from above. At the moment, for me, this is a need at the level of “eat” or “sleep”

In general, does creativity need a “otherworldly” experience? Do you think that creativity with a touch of the transcendent is more valuable than any everyday plot, even skillfully executed?

I am of the opinion that you need to strive for the high, and the future belongs to complex art. If you undertake to be called an artist, then your work should serve as your main characteristic. In other words, you are the arithmetic mean of everything your creations say. Therefore, I do not like artists who have been writing some kind of cats all their lives. One would like to ask such people: “Is this really all that worries you and all that you want to tell the world?

How did you hear about Barter Smartplace?

Barter Smartplace acquaintance happened relatively recently. The guys contacted me after publishing a post with my work on the Internet. I liked everything, so I decided to try to realize myself on a new platform for myself.

Do you have any favorite artists whose work inspired you?

In general, I love absolutely everyone, even primitive artists. Art, like science, is a huge step-by-step developing mechanism; it is not entirely fair to isolate or single out someone from it. But, of course, I have certain favorites — from the point of view of technology it is Caravaggio, the concept — modern psychedelic artist Alex Gray, as a person Warhol was probably quite cool

How to make NFT closer to reality, in your opinion?

In my opinion, NFT lacks a certain visible weight. It is difficult for people to perceive tokens, codes, etc. as such, since they are difficult to compare with our physical world. This problem is solved by assigning at least some real goods or services to a certain token, as it seems to me.

Now there is a lot of hype around neural networks. How will neural networks affect the art market, in your opinion? What is the most important trump card of a person in creativity?

I think that neural networks will not fundamentally change anything, but rather will continue to perform the functions of assistants. Real art is saturated with the will and spirit of the author, it is suffered by him for the sake of a lofty goal. No neural network can surprise us with this.

However, there have already been cases when paintings created using neural networks won competitions and people did not even suspect that the picture was not painted by a person. What key features can distinguish human art from machine art, in your opinion?

Competitions are judged by people, and people do not always have a clear taste position. Moreover, for some reason the jury did not know that the works were created by a neural network. Accordingly, the works at the competition were evaluated solely on the basis of their appearance, without relying on the background of the works themselves and the background of the authors. In my opinion, in the 21st century, the method of such an assessment is not very competent, and this “victory” of Midjourney personally does not impress me very much.

How would you describe your style?

If without a mat, then bright and chaotic, free and changeable
