Hi There Marketing Class

So hello guys today I’m gonna talk about my past experience in this Marketing class with Dr Pietro since we start the term till what I expect when I’m finishing this class :)

Since we have joined this class we have put into groups, in my group we have Anand, Lucas, Maynie, Elle, Gunn, Poom, Zigma and Koki. We have been assigned to do many tasks and learn many theories about marketing.

Firstly, We’ve been assigned to do the Banpu case, so we started with doing the SOW (statement of work) in this stage we have communication problems since 2 of our teammates are international kids and one is in China so his internet connection was poor and we also have some problems planing what to do and assigning the work since it is our first project together. The project didn’t turn out good we have so much missing contents and the structure are not that appetizing since there lack of information and misleading communicating so it doesn’t really look like one project together as a whole( not considering we didn’t manage our time well too). You can imagine the outcome right? We have learned a lot about how important communication is to work as a team and also we should carefully plan out the work and make sure everyone sees the same picture.

Secondly, we did a video about Grab(This one turned out terrible too). We have some issue with leaders so we have been changing leader and this affects our workflow quite a lot we did a lot of research and conduct a video about grab and its marketing strategy and suggest a way they can get in touch with their customer more. In this project, we have learned a lot about how Grab is marketing their service and how they get successful by their marketing strategy and also how leaders could affect a project as a whole.

Then after midterm, we have been doing a project to research about PingAn the biggest insurance company in the world, we have discovered many things about this company and how they structure their company to make such a big growth in this project we also face some problems since, Maynie at that time she’s the leader and she decided to go to medical faculty and resign from our faculty so we have to change our leader again and we welcome Lucas as the new leader we have faced many problems because of this situation so I guess changing leader 3 times in 1 term is something I want everyone to avoid because everyone needs time to adapt with their roles and if we keep changing our roles so frequently this could lead us to many problems such as communicating and planning.

But in my opinion, this is a really fun class and we have gained a lot of knowledge and experience that we could find nowhere else.
