- WHO is the audience?
A different group of audiences has different purpose of listening and their levels of understanding. You won’t be able to fully engage with youth if you show the slides with full text, numbers, and graphs on screen and wearing a formal suit with a formal tone of voice. You’ll lose their interest within a minute. Likewise, speaking trendy words or slangs with colorful and fancy slides might not work if you are talking to executives as well.
2. WHAT is the content?
There are countless types of speeches. There are two common one. Firstly, just like you learn something in the class, the teachers are helping you to understand something better. (Some are boring and some are not, keep reading for why). The other one is when you listen to a powerful story, to motivational speeches. After hearing it, you won’t take action and do something. Its impact is far beyond recognizing process, some impactful one can even go straight to your heart.
3. HOW to deliver?
Even some would say this is depended on personality, well not always. The way you tell your stories and your body languages can be learned and practiced. You do not have to be a talkative person to deliver a good speech. You just need to have key elements of storytelling and the appropriation of using body language; both verbal and nonverbal. No need to use all techniques, you just need to know the right one that works for you.

นิสัยคนเราไม่เหมือนกันฉันใด จุดประสงค์ของกลุ่มคนฟังก็ต่างกันฉันนั้น จะให้ใส่สูท ผูกไท ไปเล่าข้อมูลตัวเลข หรือ พรีเซนท์งานวิชาการจ๋าๆ Reference อ้างอิงสามหน้า ให้กับเด็กๆ ฟัง ก็น่าจะเข้าไม่ถึงกันแน่ๆ หรือจะพูดเสียงโวยวาย คำ Slang ใดๆ ใส่ผู้บริหาร อันนี้ก็น่าจะไม่เวิร์ค ตั้งต้นให้ถูกก่อนว่า ผู้ฟังของเราคือใคร
2. WHAT is the content?
ใช่ว่าอยากพูดอะไรก็พูดได้ ถ้าอยากพูดให้ดี ทุกเนื้อหาล้วนมีจุดประสงค์ สองเป้าหมายที่เจอบ่อยคือ เพื่อให้ผู้ฟังเข้าใจอะไรบางอย่างได้ดีขึ้น หรือ เพื่อให้คนฟังอยากลงมือทำอะไรบางอย่าง ด้วยการโน้มน้าวใจ อ้างอิงเหตุผล หรือเล่าอะไรบางอย่างที่โดนใจผู้ฟัง แน่นอน บทพูดที่ก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงบนโลกนี้ได้มักจะมาจากเป้าหมายที่สอง
3. HOW to deliver?
สำคัญไม่แพ้เนื้อหา คือ วิธีการเล่าเรื่อง จะเล่าอย่างไร จะวางมือตรงไหน จะเดินไปอย่างไร ใดๆ ล้วนฝึกได้ ไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นคนพูดเก่ง ร่าเริง ขนาดนั้น แค่เรารู้วิธีที่เหมาะกับเราและสร้างผลลัพธ์ต่อคนฟังให้ได้มากที่สุดก็พอ
