As I talked about in the pre-game notes — if Bauer were to struggle by putting pressure on himself (by falling behind in the count) — things were not going to go well.

Bauer threw 87 pitches in 3.2 IP.

This very well could have been 5–0 Cubs lead when he left. Good luck McCallister.

Outside of 2 walks in the 1st Arrieta has now retired 8 in a row — very little pressure for him.
