Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (University of Delhi) in association with SBSC Alumni Association held a Workshop on “CAREERS IN MEDIA AND ART” on Friday, the 9th October 2015 in the College premises. A total number of 110 students participated and 11 teachers attended this workshop. Mr. Pankaj Rakesh, media professional & visiting faculty at the Amity School of Communication and Ms. Poonam Baid, Project Coordinator, Delhi Art Gallery were the invited speakers for this workshop.

Ms. Poonam Baid makes a point

The workshop started with Ms. Pooonam giving a detailed talk on how the students can take up a career in ART and the various aspects associated with it. They only require an interest in the field and need not be a Professional Artist. But a quality to appreciate art can give them ample opportunities to make it a career, engaging themselves to organizing events, exhibitions managing art galleries and auctioning of art displays.

This was followed by Mr. Pankaj Rakesh, speaking on Career in Media. Along with lots of visual examples that included videos of short clips he explained how to take up still photography, cinematography, making of short message films, documentaries and animation. He gave a total insight to the glamour world, its advantages, difficulties, challenges and opportunities in this fast ever-growing field.
