When talking about basketball, there are many impressive feats that have been recorded, with record and with stats. There are some players, both in college and professionally, that were simply better than everyone else at the time they played. One of the greatest stat lines ever was on March 2, 1962, Wilt Chamberlain had 100 points and still, 56 years after he did that, still leads the NBA for the most points in a single game, with the next closest being 81 by Kobe Bryant in 2006.

There have also been truly great statistical teams, each with incredible player. The best record of all time used to be held by the 1995–1996 Chicago Bulls, who went 72–10, lead by one of the greatest to ever play the game, Michael Jordan. However, in the 2015–2016 NBA regular season, the Golden State Warriors went 73–9 and beat the Bulls record, being lead by the person who turned out to be the MVP of the league, Stephen Curry.

There are many fantastic college basketball teams as well. Some of the best basketball teams of all time have been Duke University, the University of Kentucky, and Kansas University, although none of those colleges are the best statistical team of all time. That distinction goes to the 1972 UCLA Bruins. They were led by college superstar center Bill Walton and finished the season on a 30–0 record. They eventually won the National Championship that year and finished the greatest college team of all time.
